Winter Central Park Engagement at Wollman Rink
Last winter, I got to finally take out and shoot a couple ice skating! I have been hoping to have fun on the ice for awhile (I even gave a shout out and asked if anyone was interested 4 years ago!)
A Wollman Rink engagement session is lot more fun and less crowded than trying to squeeze into the Rockefeller Center with a million other people. Hidden away in Central Park, it attracts mostly New Yorkers who want to try their hand at ice skating, and less tourists. Which was what Nicole and Christie wanted. They had actually found me through Clara and Sarah, who posted their wedding photos on Facebook. And that’s how we all connected.
Winter hats, ice skates, Christmas lights are all found in this winter central park engagement session. As they got ready for the ice rink, they both needed an extra hand. Christie made sure Nicole’s knitted hat was on snug and looked good for photos. Nicole checked Christie’s laces were on tight. But going on the rink was where they really giggled and held on tight. They grabbed the wall…and each other…and anything else they good as they first skated on. There were some false starts. But each patiently waited for the other, held hands, and enjoyed the New York City skyline that serves as Wollman Rink’s backdrop.
