My favorite flowers are peonies and dahlias. Both big, fluffy, demand attention flowers. So Natalie always gets me peonies once or twice a year. So I got my surprise after she came back from trader joe’s. Sitting on my desk now, they catch my attention everytime I walk into my office with their scent. Every perfume I have tried that claims to smell like peonies smells sickly sweet- nothing like the real flower. But there they sit, all day, reminding me of spring marching on, reminding me to get outside, reminding me of how simple things really are so important.
And reminding me to keep my office door shut or the cats will eat them 😉
