Seamen's Church Institute Wedding
I’m a huge fan of pinup girl esthetic. I love me some vintage hair do’s a la victory rolls. Maybe that would explain why I fell head over heels in love with Lisa’s hair, complete with a rhinestone and feather fascinator. I need a hair stylist to do that look for me everyday!
So while watching Sex and the City, Lisa got ready. We made our way down to the lobby of the W for the first look. Lisa literally was grinning ear to ear while Alex was just obviously smitten. Katie Jane, of Katie Jane Photography, was my awesome sidekick throughout the day. I had first seen her work when she submitted an engagement session to So You’re EnGAYged and now know her as an amazing photographer and friend.
So we headed over to the Seamen’s Church Institute to take couple shots and look over the wedding venue. I loved the view of the city from the roofdeck and as night fell, seeing the lights from the Brooklyn Bride was perfect. Tomorrow- the ceremony and reception!

Great photos Kelly! Ok, so this is totally strange but I think I saw this wedding reception going on. The night of my bachelorette party we were on my friends roof deck (which is right near this venue) and we saw a very fun reception going on with a bride with feathers in her hair. We all wanted to go over there and join the party!
That’s so weird! Ha! It was a perfect view of the city on the deck 🙂 They did have a great time and tomorrow the reception shots go up- you have to see the dancing!

I had such a blast shooting with you- and one of my fav shots you took goes up tomorrow (the one where Lisa is peaking at the guest before going down the aisle- priceless!)
