Seamen's Church Institute Rooftop Wedding
Seamen’s Church Institute has a room for the ceremony on the first floor with boat paintings and models all over the room. The ceremony was a compilation of traditions from hand fasting to jumping the broom. Lisa and Alex were so happy to be married I think they literally floated out of that room- I mean, their faces are just beaming walking back down the aisle!
And then it was time to party. With a disco first dance, a candy bar, and a deck lit of by candles and the brooklyn bride, everyone was laughing and having the best time. Instead of a toast, their friend sang to them and made them join in. And Lisa could finally show off her wedding dress crinoline that was her something blue, dancing it up. Notice her shoes? Comfy jazz dance boots. So she was well prepared to dance. She also took full advantage of the candy bar- eating Alex’s necklace off her neck 😉 Whew! As the night wore on, many of the guests headed outside to enjoy something rare: a New York City rooftop wedding with cocktail tables to sit at and and watch the city at night. And a big thanks again to Katie Jane Photography for being my right hand woman!
