Civil Ceremonies
Marriage is still a tricky business for LGBT couples. Only a handful of states perform same-sex marriages and they may not not be where you live or where your wedding will be held. Because of this, a lot of couples choose to travel to get legally married.
So while my info packet that I email clients has had info about my civil ceremony packages forever, I realized I was getting so many inquires for civil ceremony information, it was high time to blog about it! A civil ceremony photo shoot is not only a chance to commemorate your legal marriage, but these photos are also an important document of this historic moment in the struggle for lgbt rights.
So how does this work? I meet you, any invited guests, and your justice of the peace at your chosen location. After documenting your civil ceremony, complete with a kiss and a marriage license(woohoo!), we go out and celebrate. We go to multiple locations to do couples portraits and have fun! It’s almost like a day after/trash the dress/engagement shoot with a legal twist.
My packages start at $500 for 3 hours on mondays-thursdays. Thinking about getting legally married in MA? VT? I travel for civil ceremonies too!
