Upper West Side Halloween Wedding
August 6, 2013 , Weddings
Sarah and Chris were determined to get married on Halloween come rain or come shine. Or come Hurricane Sandy. Yes, these two tied the knot in New York City less than 48 hours after the storm flooded lower Manhattan. Luckily for them, the wedding was uptown, and they decided, it was a go. Natalie and I drove down from CT at 4 am to make sure to make it into the city before the bridges and tunnels closed. After getting ready near their home in Harlem, Chris and Sarah hit the streets for some couples shots. And while the day was calm, the streets were far from deserted, allowing us to get some quintessential NYC street scenes in their shots. We headed over to Elizabeth’s Neighborhood Table where Sarah and Chris exchanged personalized vows in front of their families who had spent the week trying to stay ahead of the storm. And while there was a Sandy-themed drink, she didn’t put a damper in their Halloween theme: check out Sarah’s fangs!
